After over 11 years in the Logistics and Transportation industry, Peter Anthony, founder and CEO of Anthony Umzug and Sperrmüllentsorgungsdienste, made a bold move — both personally and professionally.
Originally from New York, Peter relocated to Switzerland, and quickly experienced firsthand the unique challenges that come with moving internationally. From cultural adjustments to navigating foreign bureaucracy — and most critically, the language barrier — he realized that many expatriates struggle with even the most basic parts of the relocation process.
While settling in, Peter noticed a gap in the Swiss moving industry: a lack of bilingual, expat-friendly moving services. Many newcomers found themselves overwhelmed by forms in German, customs regulations, and the general complexity of moving across borders in Europe.
That’s when he took a leap of faith and launched Anthony Umzug and Sperrmüllentsorgungsdienste — a company designed to bridge the gap between international expectations and local moving realities.

Nach über 11 Jahren in der Logistikbranche wagte Gründer und Geschäftsführer Peter Anthony einen mutigen Schritt: den Umzug von New York in die Schweiz — und den Aufbau seines eigenen Unternehmens.
